Garston Lodge of Mark Master Masons No 942
 
On the 9th February 2022 W.Bro. Steven Lyon welcomed V.W.Bro. David Anderton the representative of the Right Worshipful Provincial Master.
 
For the purpose of the installation W.Bro Steven Lyon called the following to assist, V.W.Bro. Barry Ellman (as Installing master), V.W.Bro. Eric Hughes to occupy the chair of S.W. and W.Bro. David Jones as inner Guard.
W.Bro. Barry Ellman called for the Master Elect to be presented to him, in compliance, the Master Elect Bro Ian Niven was duly presented by the acting D.C. W.Bro. Jack Parker.
V.W.Bro. Barry Ellman asked the usual questions, which were answered by the Master Elect. Officers for the Inner Workings took their positions within the lodge. The Installing Master requested the brethren below the rank of an Installed Master in the Mark Degree to withdraw.
The Assembly of Installed Masters was opened, W.Bro. Barry Ellman performed the Ceremony of Installation in an impeccable manner. Bro. Ian Niven then invested his IPM W.Bro. Steven Lyon as IPM and thanked him for his assistance in gaining the chair of Garston Mark Lodge. Following the closing of the Assembly of Installed Masters the brethren were re-admitted into the Lodge.
The Working Tools were presented and explained by acting D.C. W.Bro. Jack Parker. Then V.W.Bro. Derek Horrock’s explained the Hall Stone, Key Stone, and Collarets. W.Bro. Steven Lyon gave the address to the Master. The Address to the Wardens was given by V.W.Bro. Eric Hughes.
 
The Address to the Overseers was given by W.Bro. Ron Basnett, which were presented in a fine style. W.Bro. David Anderton gave the Address to the brethren and then, thanked all who had taken part in the ceremony, with special thanks to V.W.Bro. Barry Ellman, he also congratulated the new Worshipful Master.
The Worshipful Master then offered two Cheques of £100, to the West Lancashire Mark Charities and Garston Masonic Hall. The Worshipful Master then proceeded to the risings. At the first rising the representative left the Lodge.
 
The Worshipful Master then continued with the contents of the Summons and duly closed the meeting. The Brethren adjourned to the dining room where they enjoyed a fine festive board.
